Yvonne at Quilting Jet Girl came up with a linky party for twenty goals for 2020. This is my totally unrealistic left-brain list in no particular order.
- Stitch for 20 minutes a day 5x a week
- Morrell 20 more blocks
- Lose 20 lbs
- 20 machine quilting goals
- Write 20 more chapters for Sister
- Begin hand quilting BTCT
- Write for 20 minutes a day 3x a week
- Work on 20 different quilts.
- Read 20 books
- Turn computer off for 20 minutes a day
- Spend 20 minutes quiet time with God
- Complete 20 units on the doctorate
- Waterfit 20 minutes 2x a week
- Stretching 20 minutes a day
- Bike 20 minutes 2x a week
- Treadmill 20 minutes 2x a week
- Bright Jane 20 more blocks
- Publish SMOWJ
- Publish Sister
- Write dissertation
I will probably have to get a bit more organized than I am right now.
Blessings,
Chris

I really like your goals of doing things in 20 minute increments. I hope that you have a very productive and enjoyable 2020.
ReplyDeleteIn 2019 I did traction for 20 minutes a day with a 45 degree foam wedge behind my neck and my spine has straighten, the arthritic pain in my hands has mostly gone away, AND my eyesight improved enough that I had to get weaker glasses to read. Twenty minutes can make a lot of difference.
DeleteI like your use of "20" in your goals! Good luck with your list in 2020!
ReplyDeleteI could not figure out how to get 20 into the dissertation.
DeleteGood luck with your goals, Chris! 20 minutes seems like a doable length of time for each thing :)
ReplyDeleteTwenty minutes a day is doable until I list 20 things for 20 minutes and that adds up to 400 minutes a day or 6 1/2 hours give or take 20 minute.
DeleteChris, I like these 20 minute goals. Good Luck with your list, we'll be following along.
ReplyDeleteOh no! The pressure is on!!! Actually accountability is something I could use. You know, like paying the taxes on time or handing in a major research paper on time.
DeleteGood luck with your list! Can't wait to see how you quilt Beyond the Cherry Trees.
ReplyDeleteAll sound wonderful. I also like that you used "20" in all of your goals.
ReplyDeleteYour 20 minute/day goals are interesting, but without the time or multiple limits would be overwhelming. You really can get a lot done if you have your materials ready to go. A dear friend, now passed, once told her friends that she was able to get so much quilting done because she sewed EVERY day, even if just for 10 or 15 minutes. It works - I tried it.
ReplyDeleteYou can achieve a lot in 20 minutes if focused. Good luck with it.
ReplyDeleteWow.... that is quite a list. I think I'll just try and do 20 minutes of something with a needle each day! Although... I need to drop the 20 pounds as well =)
ReplyDeleteI hopped over thinking 20 projects to finish in 2020, but I love your list!
ReplyDeleteI love how you mapped out everything to a "20" goal - it gives you a clear picture of what you want to achieve! Good luck with all of your goals for 2020!
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a list! Good luck with each one of your 2020 goals.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to get things down on paper, believe me! So even if you don't make all 20 of your goals, I'm betting you'll make a great many of them. Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
ReplyDeleteYour free-form just putting it all out there style has actually inspired me! I'm working up my nerve to do the same thing, lol. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteNow, THAT is a list I can get into. Good luck with yours. And thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteGood for you to come up with 20 goals. I've made smaller goals in the past and only accomplished a few of them... because I'm a raccoon -- ooh shiny new quilt idea... must start. I'm sure you'll make great strides toward all of these goals.
ReplyDeleteThese are great goals - and I love how you incorporated the 20 theme into it. I wish you the best with all of your goals. They are aspirational and inspirational.
ReplyDeleteA like your clever approach. I'm sure the sewing helps with all the "book work". ENJOY!!
ReplyDeleteA very clever left-brain list. I hope you get a lot of satisfaction from pursuing these outcomes regardless of whether you do them all or not. :)
