My March goal for OMG was to complete the applique birds on these BTCT blocks. I know. It was such a simple goal but I have discovered that the hand applique that I have loved so much over the years is now hurting my fingers too much so I have been doing machine work instead.
Blessings,
Chris

What very pretty blocks! I'm so sorry your hands are giving you problems in completing your lovely work. I hope you will enjoy machine appliqué too!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear your hands are still giving you trouble. Have you tried the compression gloves? I used one for a bit when my hand was hurting after knitting or crochet work. It helped.
ReplyDeleteOh my Chris - did not want to hear that - you are so close to calling BTCT complete! But whatever method it takes will be the right decision for you and at the end of the day, our hands call the shots...that is what has happened to me too - just made the tough choice of letting my Dear Jane EPP project go to a new home - can still do traditional needleturn applique if given frequent breaks but handling those super tiny pieces for Dear Jane was my undoing. Guess we all come to a reality check at some point. Take care of those hands - your quilt will be stunning!!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are lovely!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks! Congrats on meeting your OMG for March.
ReplyDeleteLovely. Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and congrats on your finish.
