Weekend Stitching

 Friday I stitched with friends.

I completed 24 chain blocks for the 3030 Quilt.
Saturday, while doing dishes, I sliced the tip of the long finger on my right hand, the one that is compensating for the painfully swollen index finger and cannot do the needle thing until it heals.

Too bad because this week's block is another cute applique flower. This is as far as I got.

  1. HI Chris, well done on completing the chain blocks - a good tally. And I'm sorry to hear about you slicing your finger - I do hope it doesn't take too long to heal and you can get back to stitching soon.

  2. I thought this week's 3030 block was lovely too. Hope the healing process goes fast. Did you slice it with the rotary cuter or a kitchen knife? Now you have more time to work on your studies. Happy healing!

  3. A sliced finger is problematic indeed for a stitcher. I hope it heals quickly and you can once again enjoy some stitching. Those chain blocks are looking great.

  6. OUCH! My husband sliced two of his finger tips last week doing tile work in the kids' bathroom and he's been miserable with it. Can't keep the bandaids from falling off, and everything that gets in the cuts stings so badly. I hope you are healed up quickly and back to your lovely 30s blocks!

  11. It seems like it took a few weeks for it to heal. Bummer.
