I am home alone for most of the day and will be seriously working on Simple Simon. Ava will be coming to sleep over later tonight and tomorrow we are making soup. The bones are simmering in the pot today. I will strain them out and chill the broth so I can remove the fat in the morning before beginning to chop all those vegetables. I love home made soup. But I do not now how to make a small pot with four servings. I usually freeze several containers for later.
Blessings,
Chris

No, soup always comes in a huge pot! Last year I made a pot with the leftover Christmas ham, and thawed out the last batch in April. I'm looking forward to the next batch! Happy Christmas. :D
ReplyDeleteIt takes all day to cook those bones and about an hour to chop all the vegetables. I get help with the chopping so have to plan it when I have help. It would be fun to get your ham soup recipe. I have 2 of them in the fridge for next week.
